Moderator One Armed Boxer Posted April 6, 2014 Moderator Share Posted April 6, 2014 At the end of April action movie 'The Target' will be hitting the big screen on its native soil of Korea. A re-make of the 2010 French movie 'Point Blank' and directed by Yoon Hong-seung, who hasn't made a full length feature since his popular debut with the 2008 horror 'Death Bell', it stars Ryoo Seung-ryong in one of his rare leading man roles an ex-assassin who is framed for the murder of a renowned corporate leader. What entails is a 36 hour pursuit, and from the looks of the trailer below it looks to include some quality action - oRmTh5c_X9Q
Moderator One Armed Boxer Posted May 27, 2014 Author Moderator Share Posted May 27, 2014 A review for the movie is out from the guys over at Twitch, and it looks like this sadly doesn't quite hit the mark - http://twitchfilm.com/2014/05/cannes-2014-review-action-thriller-the-target-misses-the-mark.html
Member D1 Ma Posted November 13, 2015 Member Share Posted November 13, 2015 Didn't see a topic about this, so I decided to create one As I understand, it's a Korean remake of French movie Point Blank(2010)I haven't seen the original movie, but I found the remake to be quite good. Good pacing, decent acting for the most part (I really enjoyed a policewoman character, good performance by Seong-ryeong Kim), some decent action. You get a few fights, a car chase, some shooting. Nothing extraordinary, but quite solid.Overall, I'd say it's one of the better Korean thrillers out there. So, if you haven't seen it, check it out
