Moderator One Armed Boxer Posted March 23, 2014 Moderator Share Posted March 23, 2014 This looks completely ridiculous, however it is nice to see that with China's sudden obsession with going to the movies, and watching anything and everything which is labelled as 3D, at least the volume of movie output is increasing. During the early 2000's the level of movie piracy very nearly killed Hong Kong's movie output, reducing it to a mere trickle when compared to what it used to be. The fact that blatant trash like 'Ameera' is getting made again is kind of a positive sign. What's interesting is that the vast majority of these mainland audience targeting movies don't even get a release in Hong Kong, a sign of the times if ever there was one. Member kami Posted May 26, 2014 Member Share Posted May 26, 2014 Watched it! This pile of ultra-cheap-CGI-ridden and sexist action crap is entertaining in its own way, but it is of course bad, really bad. From the ridiculous plot to the amateurish acting this is trash in every way. The main actress was obviously chosen for her willingness to show cleavage and not for her fighting skills which are pathetic. And her male co-star wears Aaron Kwok's haircut from CHINA STRIKE FORCE, he looks hideous with it. At least he cinematography and the score are not bad, but wasted on this stinker.
