Member Moonmoth Posted March 4, 2014 Member Share Posted March 4, 2014 Hi, I’m trying to trace a Kung Fu movie I caught sometime in the 90’s on late night TV (one of the first I ever saw). With hindsight, I think it was a Shaw Bros - though I can’t be certain. The stand-out scene was the final showdown. The Bad Guy kidnaps the Hero’s mother (or grandmother) and suspends her above a huge pile of tables and chairs. The Baddie then proceeds to kick away various items of furniture in an attempt to make her fall, whilst the Hero desperately strives to put them back. Wonderful stuff! Perhaps it isn’t surprising that it turns out to be such a high-profile/well-regarded movie - as it has stayed with me all these years (it was one of the first 2 or 3 KF movies I saw - and I didn't then know Jet Li from a hole in the road). I actually have the first film on DVD - and have just now ordered the above sequel. REALLY looking forward to seeing it again!
