Member DiP Posted February 26, 2014 Member Share Posted February 26, 2014 I want to get the remastered Mei Ah DVD and I know it has a brief scene involving Chin Kar-Lok's character cut out that is intact in the original Mei Ah release. The question is: Which is Lam's preferred version? Was the cut in the new DVD intentional or did they just happen to use a shorter cut for the new DVD? Member Sheng Posted December 19, 2018 Member Share Posted December 19, 2018 Saw an HD print of this the other day on a Chinese pay channel and it looked pretty damn' good, a big step up from the old (remastered) Mei Ah DVD. One reason why some of these classic films turn up on BD now is obviously that they're remastered primarily for television sales in China. Almost forgotten how good this film was!
