Heroes of the East is this week's first film. I recall this film is always get attention as one of the releases that slipped through the Region 1 cracks. So...set your DVR's! Unfortunately, physical media is becoming more and more obsolete by the day - at least as far as being a viable business proposition. I have an almost completely collection of Shaw's martial arts flicks, but there is something reassuring about being able to flick on the tv and see Fu Sheng or Wang Yu on tv for us old timers as well as a new audience. I think that ultimately to need to have an HD feed. Even if they do, I doubt there are very many cable companies picking it up at this stage; young channels are still nearly always introduced in SD versions. Member bobo Posted September 27, 2014 Member Share Posted September 27, 2014 hi-- with some research i've managed to find out the titles of the first few shaws. from oct. 1st to oct 5th they will show the following--MEN FROM THE MONASTERY--BELLS OF DEATH--TEN TIGERS OF KWANG TUNG-- MASTER OF KUNG FU-- CLAN OF THE WHITE LOTUS-- HOUSE OF TRAPS-- THE SAVAGE FIVE-- MONKEY KUNG FU-- and CLAN OF AMAZONS. uncut and with english dubs. very, i repeat VERY important that someone record CLAN OF AMAZONS. i hope someone gets this channel and can record some of these, i could also use an uncut and synced copy of BELLS OF DEATH. i'm sure there's more to come as they have 270 titles , most of which are english dubbed. I have had enough of the venoms, Chang Cheh and LKL, sorry. I think EVERYONE would love to see a clean dubbed print of SACRED KNIVES OF VENGEANCE. I went out and bought a cheap DVD recorder for this so we'll see how it works out. I won't be able to check until Sunday when he gets back home but at least it's set to record. ALSO, I was scrolling through the rest of El Rays upcoming schedule on the on-screen guide and my jaw dropped when I saw that PROUD YOUTH is airing twice this coming Monday (10/6)! Did I miss that in an earlier post? Anyway, I set to record that as well. Assuming it's a dub since it mentioned in the press release that all films acquired were both available dubbed AND in Chinese w/subs. Don't remember this ever being listed as available dubbed.
