Member feihong Posted November 29, 2013 Member Share Posted November 29, 2013 Hi all! Been a while. I remember some of you from the asiandvdguide forum. I came across a blu-ray set of the OUATIC "trilogy"--it looks like HK Video put this out back in September. Recently I've been buying Shaw Bros blu-rays from Japan and I'm on this kick to find the pictures in a good quality format. Has anyone here seen the HK Video blu-ray set, or any of the standalone discs? Can anybody speak to the quality of these discs? Do they at least do away with the disasters that plague the Kam&Ronson discs in Hong Kong?
Member spannick Posted December 1, 2013 Member Share Posted December 1, 2013 SD-Upscale of course, just not with the horrible oil paint filter the HK Disc hat. it looks like a DVD upscaled to HD Size. except you have a horrible Remix 5.1 Remix only and no Mono like on the HK DVD. Member feihong Posted December 2, 2013 Author Member Share Posted December 2, 2013 Aw man, what a disappointment. I thought that the French might have been able to rescue this release from the jaws of defeat, but I guess not. Thanks for updating me there, spannick!
