It something that put's me off, getting into more T.V shows, you never know when somethings going to get axed. It's not always just odwn to poor ratings either. I thought all these shows were popular?, though I know Iron Fist struggled to find a large audience. No doubt Disney will be re-booting them all over again, at somepoint, for their new Online service.

Apparently there has been a lot of disparaging over the last year over the creative perspectives of how the shows ought to be done between Marvel and Netflix. And it seemed like the more popular Marvel's movies became, the more the Netflix series were viewed as stepchildren. The series would reference Marvel movie events/characters at times, though never directly. The films never would acknowledge the shows or the characters. Still, the Daredevil and Luke Cage shows especially were extremely good, and you wouldn't think Marvel would squabble a whole lot about that. However, from what I read, ratings and popularity weren't the issue. It was the creative direction, and Marvel apparently had the final say or Netflix got tired of the hassle.

Member AlbertV Posted December 7, 2021 Member Share Posted December 7, 2021 (edited) Now that the series are all over, it has to be mentioned that Kevin Feige has said if there is room for more Daredevil, he is officially bringing back Charlie Cox in the role. Rumor has it that Matt Murdock may be appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home but there is nothing concrete...it's all spec. But, Charlie Cox is officially the MCU's Daredevil. https://www.darkhorizons.com/charlie-cox-to-be-the-mcus-daredevil/ Edited December 7, 2021 by AlbertV

Member AlbertV Posted May 19, 2022 Member Share Posted May 19, 2022 (edited) Daredevil may be coming back! Disney+ has apparently ordered a new series that will continue after the Netflix run with Covert Affairs creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord set to write. Charlie Cox has been confirmed to return as Matt Murdock pretty much since his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Kevin Feige's earlier comments that Cox would be the MCU's Daredevil pretty much put the stamp on it. Let's not forget Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk making an appearance on Hawkeye so he most likely will return as well for the new series (although he's not confirmed as of yet as is Cox). https://ew.com/tv/daredevil-disney-plus-series-in-development/ Edited May 19, 2022 by AlbertV
