Member NoKUNGFUforYU Posted October 9, 2013 Member Share Posted October 9, 2013 Anyone see this one in the last few years? It was a favorite of mine, especially the way the story went of the cop and the hood having the same teacher. You could see how the same tough training had a different effect on each of them, and I remembered it as being pretty good. Then, I saw that it was written by Ni Kuang, so that might have made it a cut above. I saw it only in the theaters in the 70's, I wonder how it holds up now on DVD? I only ask as I was anxious to see Sacred Knives of Vengeance, and the fights were really, really awkward, and a few others don't hold up so well- "Shanghai Lil" with the exception of the lovely Shih Szu, is another one. I know he made a lot of good Wu Xia movies later.
Member odioustrident Posted October 9, 2013 Member Share Posted October 9, 2013 You might find this is more of the same. Some bashers have aged better than others in the action dept... most films with Chan Wai Man, Cheung Lik or Charles Heung seem to hold up to today's standard with crisp and clear intention in the movement. w7DBa4QWAsY qwWZrd7ldrY
