Im sure he's holding the two pieces up unrelated, showing off his fans dedication. And yeah, that's probably some guy with a venom tat.

Wow, I never saw this thread before!

Yes, that's a guy that got my art tattooed on his arm. And out of respect, he contacted me first on Facebook and asked if I would mind if he did that. It's very rare that someone would ask first. Very nice. I gave him my blessing.

I know of at least one other person that also used my Toad art as a basis for a tattoo. :nerd:

That's cool bro, you know your art is great when people want to get it permenatly on their body. BTW, I own your HJL poster but would like to have a Tan Tao Liang and John Liu poster to round out the trilogy of my kicking inspirations. Do you already have posters of these stars available and if not are you willing to take requests?

Curious, when was this? We knew a fan aka gAUssZiLLa at the Fansite back in June 26th, 2007 who got VenomsTatoos.

Look at these first ever Venoms Tattoos!

Wow that is awesome that somebody would tattoo your art on themselves! I have KUNG FU BOB's venom set hanging in my house above my DVD collection.

Following up from our email archive.

So I believe that pic is with Pete, who used the screen captures from the site in December 2004. He printed them to the tattoo artist (from Pennsylvania) who created them in March 2007.

Teako, I believe Pete was at the Lo Meng visits Philly convention that same year when the pic was taken. From the forum history, you should have been in contact with him around the same time. He was interested in going to the convention and contacted you directly. He was a huge fan of Lo Meng indeed. Maybe you have archived emails from him? Hope this helps.

LOL  It's very flattering. I've drawn up flash in the past, and have created quite a few custom designs for people over the years as well. In fact, there's a KFC member waiting for me to a design one for him (based on his amusing idea) when I get the time. It's a surreal thing to see something I created on someone's flesh, and to know it's going to be there forever!

I don't have any drawings of these guys right now, nor am I currently planning any. But... you never know. I'm always happy to hear what others would like to see me tackle as a future project, but right now I already have a bunch of things in the works. I'm currently working on the book cover for ShaOw!linDude's newest book, and have several other big projects I'm simultaneously working on.

And before The Dragon asks- the answer to your inevitable question is "Yes!" :nerd: LOL

The people that I mentioned that had tattoos based on my drawings, both did so just in the last couple of years. So obviously this guy is not who I thought he was. My mistake. When I saw the date of this thread- September, 2013- I mistakenly assumed that the photo of Lo Meng was recent.

My FIVE VENOMS drawings weren't even completed at the time that gAUssZiLLa sent you those photos of his finished tattoos (3-11-2007). I had drawn up the two Lo Meng pieces- the INVINCIBLE SHAOLIN one, and the one of him as The Toad- for the actual LO MENG IN PHILLY event, literally finishing them the day before. So that was in August of 2007. I didn't even start drawing the rest of them until May of 2008.

Here's a variant of the same art with a black background...

So was he at the event? I feel like I would've remembered him from those tats, but I can't recall meeting/seeing him.

For anyone interested, here is my blog address where you can see and buy my art (huge thanks to Ray from shaolinchamber36.com for setting this up for me). There’s a bigger selection here than on eBay because I don‘t have to share my profit with “the middle man” :

http://kungfubob.blogspot.com/

The checkout system for the blog can occasionally get a little troublesome. Sometimes only allowing you to order one item at a time. (sigh) It will eventually be replaced with a real website. Until then, please feel free to go to the blog to check out the pictures and info on the artwork. See what you want there, then just send me a PM with your order (the print names and sizes you want), and I will shoot you back a Paypal invoice right away with the total.

I understand, your a busy man in demand. If you ever get caught up and before your run for the Presidency(hey your a popular guy::wink:), maybe you can make posters of these guys for me. In the meantime I'll check your site out and see if I can find Sun Chien and Cassanova Wong, two more of my favorite kickers.

:xd: You're a trip!

Sounds like a plan. I'm a fan of both of them.

Ugh... no Cassanova Wong art either (and again, I am a fan). But I do have this one of Sun Chien...

Thanks GOLDEN DRAGON YIN-YANG! I've always loved that cover. I used to draw monster pictures while lying on the floor next to the stereo, listening to this album. :nerd:

Thanks for posting man. It's a very cool story and Mick was apparently a very nice guy.

Cool pics too. Not a big Rolling Stones fan (I prefer The Who), but still I enjoyed the read.
