The version I have ends with the final fight stopping midway and the police turning up to arrest everyone - turns out Tan is an undercover cop! Is that the original ending from the Mandarin version? Not sure if there are differences between the German print, the Dutch VHS and the Ocean Shores besides them all being cropped in one way or another.
