Member bobo Posted November 4, 2013 Author Member Share Posted November 4, 2013 hi---just checked itunes and MAN OF IRON, FOUR RIDERS and MASKED AVENGERS have been added. all with english dubs. still awaiting the appearance of some of the actual " LOST DUBS " , but according to celestial they are still coming. by the way the english dub of MY REBELLIOUS SON has been playing on that african channel for quite some time now. just have to wait. Celestial constantly posts on social media, it really amazes me they almost never mention what has recently been added on iTunes. if you're just trying to browse on itunes and find similar movies, it's useless. which makes it difficult to keep on the lookout for these. At least with Obamacare, there's promotion for it. People are aware it's there. Not the case with the Shaw stuff. Just horribly, horribly handled. I sent them an email a couple months back offering my services free of charge to help them in any way. No reply whatsoever. Too bad. I've got plenty of good contacts in the press and would have been able to have all sorts of free plugs promoting this stuff. In addition, a friend of mine just so happens to be the VP of A&R (music) of iTunes as well. At the very least, I'm sure he could have linked me up with the proper people in the pertinent department over there in order to improve the current situation. Oh well. Member bobo Posted November 17, 2013 Author Member Share Posted November 17, 2013 hi--- a way back in august, because i was on their case all the time about dubs celestial sent me a personal email with a partial list of english dubs that would eventually be on itunes and/or a made on demand dvd site. the list includes VENGEANCE IS A GOLDEN BLADE -- HEADS FOR SALE -- LADY PROFESSIONAL -- DUEL FOR GOLD -- THE CASINO -- THE BASTARD -- POLICE FORCE -- THE PIRATE -- THE BLOODY ESCAPE -- THE SEXY KILLER -- FULL MOON SCIMITAR -- INVINCIBLE ENFORCER -- WHAT PRICE HONESTY -- BLACK LIZARD -- THE WEIRD MAN -- ANONYMOUS HEROES -- MY REBELLIOUS SON and FLYING DAGGER. basically they told me that every english dub they have in their library would get released. it's just a matter of when . all these titles have played on the sony tv channel and as far as i can tell no copies have showed up yet on the trade or bootleg market --which is strange. I've been pretty thorough as far as following their schedule on a day by day / week by week basis for quite a while now and haven't seen the likes of those other titles on there. Stuff like Full Moon Scimitar, What Price Honesty, etc. I'd have definitely taken notice of. Again, I know My Rebellious Son, Black Lizard and Buddha's Palm aired for sure and have air dates for both, but nothing on those other titles - and I check every few days! Also, I believe the films air with commercials, which might explain why nothing has shown up yet on the bootleg market... then again, it didn't stop the releases of those titles like Spiritual Boxer & Disciples of the 36th Chamber that played on British tv a few years back. Member bobo Posted November 17, 2013 Author Member Share Posted November 17, 2013 yes i am sure. that sony channel has existed for well over a year now and i also do a regular check to see what's playing. i will admit that a lot of the titles have not been in the rotation for a while now but others like MY REBELLIOUS SON have only showed up recently. when i first found the site they actually showed around 20 sec clips from various movies and i saw english dubbed clips from THE BLOODY ESCAPE, THE FLYING DAGGER and VENGEANCE IS A GOLDEN BLADE all with the classic voices. they don't show the clips any more. lots of more familiar titles like MASKED AVENGERS, BRAVE ARCHER SERIES, DRAGON MISSILE, TREASURE HUNTERS, KID WITH A TATTOO, BOXER FROM THE TEMPLE and SHAOLIN INTRUDERS and lots of others. SHAOLIN INTRUDERS north american release for some reason didn't include the dub. celestial also said that ALL these titles have always been available to north american distributors but for the most part they passed on most of them. that is why we are still waiting to see english dub versions of all these rare movies. i mean, right now itunes seems to be our last hope.
