Member AlbertV Posted July 14, 2013 Member Share Posted July 14, 2013 22j3_AjEYMM Well, as many of us may know, Michael Jai White made his feature film debut in THE TOXIC AVENGER PART II. He plays a member of the Apocalypse Inc., the evil corporation attempting to take over Tromaville. Here is Michael's first fight scene, taking on Toxie himself, at the time played by John Altamura (before he was permanently replaced by Ron Fazio, who played Toxie in the Japan shoot and finale). Michael and Soke Kariim Ratcliff served as the fight coordinators of the film, credited in the film as get this..."wrestling coordinators". Its short but ends kind of funny IMO

Yeah it is..Troma is known for making gory horror-comedy style films and The Toxic Avenger series is truly one of their best. Originally, Toxic Avenger 2 was a 4-hour movie, so with the advice of his wife (who was at one point the New York Film Commissioner), Lloyd Kaufman split the film in two. Michael appears in what is now Toxic Avenger 2 and 3. He did more martial arts in Part 2, including spin kicking a guy and grabbing his leg and learning it was a prosthetic leg!!!! Part 2 is my favorite, because the Japanese action sequences are quite fun. They were done by Hitoshi Genma and they had Toxie use fish-chucks, taking on two turtle guys, a cross-dressing school girl/man-child, and a buch of kabuki guys...as a matter of fact, the Japan shoot would influence another of Troma's classics...SGT. KABUKIMAN, NYPD.
