I'm not sure if this film has already been mentioned on here, but it looks like a brand new female-centric martial arts film from Vietnam.

Twitch has just posted a fairly middle of the road review in which they emphasize the film's wires but appreciate it's beauty and cinematography.

From the trailer it looks like a wuxia flick and yup, it has more wires than you can shake a stick at. However, it looks halfway decent...

I laughed out loud at the volleyball clip. Awesome find, and I'm looking forward to this (silly) movie.

Those girls+swordplay make this essential viewing...

From trailer it looks like good fun not to be taken seriously...

The Lady Assassin (Mỹ Nhân Kế) is the highest grossing film so far in Vietnamese Cinema history. It was released in February for the Tet (Lunar New Year) Holiday and earned 54 billion VND ($2.7 million). It beat the previous record of $2million held by comedy 'Long Ruồi' directed by Charlie Nguyen (The Rebel).

Here is an article at Film Biz Asia that highlighted Lady Assassin's opening weekend.

Their are high hopes in the industry that Dustin Nguyen's 'Once Upon A Time In Vietnam' (Lửa Phật) will break Lady Assassin's record when it is released this August 22nd. It features the biggest celebrity cast for a Vietnamese film so far and was trailered heavily before most prints of 'Lady Assassin'
