Despite the huge success of both Five Fingers of Death and Enter the Dragon, plus Kung Fu on the television, it seems Warners gave up releasing kung fu in the States after their release of Sacred Knives of Vengeance,- if it flopped, the slow trailer couldn't have helped

Warners did distribute a few more Shaws in the UK, including releasing Shaolin Martial Arts as...Five Fingers of Death!

I was surprised that Warners didn't even release any Golden Harvest films - I bet Raymond Chow was kicking himself for selling the Bruce Lee flicks to cheapo companies early in '73!

That said, very few of the majors bothered with kung fu imports.

Don't forget the majors looked upon kung fu movies as trash, Warners were only interested in making a fast buck. If Lee had lived they would have obviously made more with him. As to that UK "Five Fingers"- I always wondered what film that could be as It was obviously not King Boxer!
