Last night I watched the pair in the 'NEW ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN'.

A few days ago I sprained my wrist and wanted to watch someone with only one arm to help ease my pain.

This movie of the Shaw dynamic duo made me think of what you all consider to be their very best outings and thus your favorite of the many films they did together.

First of all how many films did they do together? Maybe someone could please list them for us.

And then your favorites please.

This is tough. I need to scope the whole list to decide.

Too bad they didn't do any Chor Yuen stuff together, I really like Ti Lung in

Those movies. David was obviously great with Chang Cheh.

I really appreciate both these guys.

Yes I agree that would have been a good match up. Strange that they never filmed together with Chor Yuen.

I always loved DEADLY DUO. It's a very simple film, but it focuses on the essential stuff...

Wow. Nice list. More than I thought.

The Drug Addict / 吸毒者 (1974)

Was DC in this? I know he directed and it starred TL but not sure if DC actually appeared on screen.

I have listed the movies I have NOT SEEN.

Need to get your Fu on GDYY. Lots of good flix you need to see. Think The Two Faces of Love, Temperament of Life, Tiger on the Beat, The Banquet and Star Runner are the ones I've yet to see. And in I'm no rush either (haha)...

I've always thought Deadly Duo is actually nowhere near focused enough. It's never been one of my faves.

Unable to choose just one favourite. Anytime I try to pick one, my brain shuts down and reboots.

But New One-Armed Swordsman, Empress Dowager, Have Sword, Will Travel, The Duel, Vengeance, Heroic Ones and Anonymous Heroes always pop up among the hottest candidates...

Not much of a fan of David Chiang but I am of Ti Lung. Its not that I dislike him or anything, its just that he doesn`t sell "kung fu" to me. Ti Lung, on the other hand, has some skill.

Just watched The Pirate a few days ago. Pretty good movie. Really nice end fight. But, those two have appeared in so many great films that it is hard to choose a favorite. Though, Blood Brothers might be my favorite so far because of the story and the way the movie plays out. However, can`t say for sure until I see all of the films that they have made together; I have seen 60% to 70%. The only one so far that I don`t ever want to see again is The Anonymous Heroes. I guess it was an alright movie, just didn`t do it for me.

The New One Armed Swordsman is my favorite of the Dynamic Duo but there are so many scenes in Blood Brothers that are so well done that its hard to not put that one on top. I generally dont like Shaw Films that rely on flashbacks (10 Tigers of Kwantung, The Shaolin Avengers) but it is brilliantly done in Blood Brothers. The court scenes are intense, the flashback storytelling is awesome and David Chaing, Ti Lung, and Chen Kuan Tai really get to show their acting chops. The only surprising thing about Blood Brothers is that the action isn't as well done which is weird considering that's what they do best.
