Not a big fan of Ghost Punting, though it does have some decent action bits. That last clip is from Gambling Ghost.

It's ok, Sammo was on a steady decline at this time, so considering, I think this is one of the more enjoyable efforts of this vintage.

Ghost Punting is good if you dig the Lucky Stars films, Sammo's not in it as much but it's fun IMO. Some nice action, Sammo may have been on a steady decline but his choreography kept improving.

A particular scene with Wu Ma never fails to crack me up. Don't want to spoil it.

Thanks, gents. Think I'll be tracking these down at some point. Gambling Ghost looks like it might be a decent modern actioner.

How is the Wing Artist DVD of Gambling Ghost?

I believe it's anamorphic widescreen, but no idea about a progressive transfer.

Apparently the Soulblade DVD is poor.

I think part of the problem was that he was just taking any project so that he could survive. He's a bad gambler, and it's been said that he starred in Island of Fire because Wang Yu had settled his gambling debts. Then came the divorce in 1994.
