Actually, the fights are the least impressive thing about it for me. It's not bad, just not what im watching it for, which is rare for this genre, in my case. Actionwise, I liked Jet in Martial Arts of Shaolin, Fist of Legend, OUATIC, and I liked seeing him use the the Praying Mantis again in Forbiden Kingdom. Thanks TWC! It's a great film to show people who don't know anything about martial arts films. I typically go with Fearless or Ip Man. Great stories AND great fights. Someone mentioned the directors cut earlier, Ill keep an eye out for that version. Dont give anything away, but whats the difference? I actually preferred the theatrical cut of 'Fearless' over the directors cut. It seems to flow a lot better, and wisely omits the pointless speech by Michelle Yeoh at the start, set in the present day and clearly only there because at the time of release it was only a couple of years until Beijing would be hosting the Olympics. Regarding Jet's other movies, I haven't seen them all, but 'Shaolin Temple', 'Hero', 'High Risk', 'Swordsman 2', and 'Fist of Legend' are all up there for me. At least in Cradle to the grave there were hint of martial arts, whereas White Snake was complete rubbush... After watching the trailers I was definitely not expecting anything in the vein of Fearless or Fist of Legend. I am a much bigger fan of his Asian films it seems plus I have a soft spot for most of his movies because he was the one that got me into Kung Fu movies at an early age.
