Member JimPV Posted January 13, 2013 Member Share Posted January 13, 2013 Terrific Japanese actor has died: http://sidelongglancesofapigeonkicker.blogspot.jp/2013/01/makoto-sato1934-2012.html I was really sorry to hear this. Loved him in a bunch of stuff, esp. The Executioner I and II, and Message From Space. Very unique actor. RIP, good sir.

Member Vegeta84 Posted January 14, 2013 Member Share Posted January 14, 2013 He was a great one. I first noticed him in a Zatoichi film and then realized he was in a bunch of films I had already seen. I don't remember him at all in Hidden Fortress? Who did he play? Member Shaolivevil Posted January 15, 2013 Member Share Posted January 15, 2013 Makoto Sato's most memorable role for me was in The Killing Machine where he played a drunk depressed man who was trying to find his wife after the war. His pain and anguish was truly heartbreaking RIP Sato-san
