Member GOLDEN DRAGON YIN-YANG Posted January 8, 2013 Member Share Posted January 8, 2013 Yesterday I found 'Swordsman of all Swordsman' on YouTube. This is a real classic with a young Tein Peng. This makes me curious about the Union Film Company which I assume is from Taiwan. Could someone please give a list of their best swordplay and kung fu films. Thanks, GD Y-Y
Member teako170 Posted January 8, 2013 Member Share Posted January 8, 2013 Yes, Taiwan. They made about 30 or so films. I will have to look for list. Two films that should be viewed are A Touch of Zen and Dragon Inn.
Member Yang Wu Liang Posted January 9, 2013 Member Share Posted January 9, 2013 Ghostly Face with Polly is definately worth checking out.... I never got round to watching 'Rider of Revenge' or 'Grand Passion' but they've got Polly in as well so they can't be all bad!

Yes, that's the list I have. Thanks Justin. It was originally compiled by tantao3,son of tantao2 and posted, back in 2008, in a thread titled Taiwan disks with English subtitles. I recall Falkor working on a list back in 2004 but was only done partially(?) whereas this list is complete.
Member tantao3-son of tantao2 Posted January 12, 2013 Member Share Posted January 12, 2013 The Knight Of Old Cathay, HK Alpha Jimmy Shaw The Ghostly Face:coproduction with Hai Hua. Chinese Kung Fu And Acupuncture The Love Offensive Not sure whether these last two are proper Union productions....
Member GOLDEN DRAGON YIN-YANG Posted January 13, 2013 Author Member Share Posted January 13, 2013 I thank you all for your efforts, If they made around 30 films that long list must have most of them. GD Y-Y

Chinese Kung Fu And Acupuncture The Love Offensive Not sure whether these last two are proper Union productions.... From this web page here, they closed up shop in 1978 (after 31? features). I haven't seen either of these two films but Cheung Tiu-Yin was the producer -- and he seemed to work, more or less, strictly with Union Films. Found another site which has clips from 16 of their films.
