Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted February 7, 2013 Member Share Posted February 7, 2013 Love your covers, but I probably would have left out the green on that last one, halfway expecting an italian movie with that colorscheme.
Member Keung Posted February 7, 2013 Author Member Share Posted February 7, 2013 Haha, cheers. I was just trying to keep a theme going. I got the idea from these flyers... http://redbeanpastebuns.bravepages.com/images/&c/CWM/CarryOnYakuza/CarryOnColor2bCin227_1288.JPG http://redbeanpastebuns.bravepages.com/images/&c/CWM/CarryOnYakuza/CarryOnColor2aCin227_1288.JPG

Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted September 20, 2013 Member Share Posted September 20, 2013 If the british title for Peacock King was Legend of the Phoneix what the hell did they call Saga of the Phoenix?

Member blue_skies Posted September 27, 2013 Member Share Posted September 27, 2013 I've just been looking through this thread and there's some great artwork. if someone was going to print up one of these what kind of paper would you use? Almost done with this one... The drawn/painted art comes from a Japanese flyer. Thanks to member Son Of A Gun for scanning the laserdisc art so I could use the Chinese title card. I can't see this image:squigglemouth:
Member Keung Posted September 27, 2013 Author Member Share Posted September 27, 2013 Thanks. A lot of the older stuff I've posted on here has been changed. Minor tweaking and improvements, that's all. I'm not sure what paper you'd use to print them....I just make these things. All the front covers and spines are done. The back covers may take a while because I haven't really got a layout / design worked out yet.

Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted September 27, 2013 Member Share Posted September 27, 2013 Yeah, the grimey video store look gives me serious 80's flashbacks..... nice job.
Member Keung Posted September 27, 2013 Author Member Share Posted September 27, 2013 Thanks, everyone. I'll be making Blu-ray versions, too. These aren't Asian related, but here's some other stuff I recently finished -

Member Keung Posted October 12, 2013 Author Member Share Posted October 12, 2013 Yep! The final designs for Game of Death and Fist of Fury are done. I've kept them as simple as possible, just like the Rank VHS covers. By doing this you can use them for any version of the film you own because they don't list any extra features which may differ to the DVD you want to use them for. Does that make sense? Way and Boss coming soon! Full size versions here. Member makone Posted October 12, 2013 Member Share Posted October 12, 2013 Brilliant, Thankyou for these. if you wanted to match the rank video text exactly, you would need the kabel font.

Member Keung Posted October 13, 2013 Author Member Share Posted October 13, 2013 No worries! The Big Boss is now finished. Quality of the front cover image isn't quite as good as the other two, but it's the best I could find. I can confirm that it looks pretty good once it's printed, though. Member Keung Posted October 13, 2013 Author Member Share Posted October 13, 2013 I print covers directly from the program that I create them with, which is Photoshop Elements, but there's plenty of free software to download. UndercoverXP is pretty good. http://www.undercoverxp.tk/

I will check with your sleeves, might be just the blu-ray sleeves I scanned!
