according to the Facebook fan page for Maggie Siu, Dennis Law has just completed filming a new cop film with her in it, and apparently Simon Yam as well. no title is known at this time. if anyone knows anything about this film, please share the info! thanks

Uh. Don't know what to say. It surprised me. Yam is the action star in this and that was a weird thing to do. I will commend Nicky for getting one thing right. Knowing that some things should be finishers. There is a fight in a bathroom that ends opponents with big, hard, high impact. Not kaboom, get up and continue.

It's not a recommender as it's directed by D Law. If you happen across it, expect nothing and go on with life after it's over.

Yeah this is the Badges of Fury with a touch of Special ID kind of bad.

Surprise really, as Fatal Contact is one of the best and King of Triads was pretty decent.

This is essentially what a TVB police TV series turned into a movie would be like. All very earnest and positive, not very exciting.

THE CONSTABLE is an extremely boring movie that confuses telling private, intimate stories with boring the pants of the audience with unending banalities. The action scenes are okay-ish but always introduced in a manner that makes them totally ridiculous. Simon Yam never fights during his job but when he's strolling the streets after hours and goons suddenly appear seemingly just to give the good constable a chance to play the chivalrous knight.

IMO the worst of the Dennis Law-movies. At least the visuals are nice and Tommy Wai's score is great with a certain Morricone-feeling.
