Member Ronin Posted June 12, 2012 Member Share Posted June 12, 2012 SciFi Japan Article What a random release. Hope it contains the original ending that was on the Taiwanese DVD.
Member Drunken Monk Posted June 12, 2012 Member Share Posted June 12, 2012 They're probably just cashing in on Donnie Yen's current popularity but it's a film I've never seen and so I'll pick it up. Was a legitimate release of "Wing Chun" ever brought out on DVD? That's another film I've never seen and would like to.

Yeah, by Hong Kong Legends. It's the best presentation of the film to date. The film itself is pretty good, a great mix of action (led by Michelle Yeoh) and comedy. As for Butterfly & Sword, it's one of Donnie's weakest efforts imo. The story is decent but if you're looking for great and more grounded weapon fights, avoid it. Member Drunken Monk Posted November 30, 2012 Member Share Posted November 30, 2012 You can get it for less than $2, brand new, on Aamzon. That's minus shipping and handling mind you... http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B007S0DEGW/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Member Gaijin84 Posted November 30, 2012 Member Share Posted November 30, 2012 Just be warned, apparently the Well Go DVD looks terrible: DVD Talk Review Yikes I think I'll save the $5 total and stick with my old version. Granted the audience is somewhat limited, but it astounds me they can't find a nice print of this and release it as it originally was with new subs. It was made in 1993! We're not talking a long lost movie from the 70s. Unreal.
