'Dragonwolf' will be assaulting your eyeballs very soon !

Many of you already know it is coming, but for some time we have been asking 'When, when ?!'

Well, I spoke to the director Mr. Raimund Huber this evening ( who also directed 'Bangkok Adrenalin' and 'Kill 'Em All' ) and he told me that 'Dragonwolf' is now 95% complete, they are just finishing up some last touches and a bit of ADR. So a release date should be forthcoming soon. For those of you who don't already know, I can not put into words, just watch the trailer here :

I was convinced, by the first half of the trailer, that this was a bad softcore porno. When the action kicked it I was more impressed but not altogether surprised. I hope it brings some original stuff to the table, rather than a multitude of "flip kicks" while the bad guys stand perfectly still.

"Bangkok Adrenaline" was one of the few recent martial arts flicks I simply could not sit through. The acting absolutely destroyed that film for me. And this is a man who was quite content watching "Bangkok Knockout."

I get where DM is coming from, though I still think Bangkok Adrenaline is a fun film to watch solely for the choreography (and I agree, it did have its faults).

I'll be interested to see this. I'm a fan of Kazu Patrick Tang and was disappointed by the fact that he really wasn't used in Bangkok Knockout. The action in this looks good to me so far. But again, like DM, I hope to see some originality in the choreography.

The action certainly looks appealing in this trailer! Some of it looks really hard hitting and hints at complexities.

That acting though! Every time someone spoke in trailer I laughed and cringed at the same time.

The earnest delivery of "You live by the sword, **dramatic year long pause,** you die by the sword" was Schwarzengger-esque in cheesiness but made much worse by actually trying to come across as sincere. not a good line for the trailer.

I'll hold out for the action though. It could be a fun one to watch in that respect.

Hey OpiumKungFuCracker....I think you've double stumped yourself here....the movie which you laid so much hate on is 'Bangkok Revenge'.

'Bangkok Knockout' is the 2010 movie from Panna Rittikrai.

'Bangkok Dangerous' is the 1999 debut movie from the Pang Brothers, which they disastrously re-made in 2008 as a Hollywood movie starring Nicolas Cage under the same title.

Just to confuse things further....

One half of the Pang Brothers, Oxide Pang, also co-directed the horror anthology movie 'Bangkok Haunted' back in 2001.

& to top it all off, there's the 2009 Raimund Huber directed movie, 'Bangkok Adrenaline'.

So, it's pretty easy to get confused!

I really enjoyed Bangkok Adrenaline regardless of its flaws but Bangkok Knockout really didn't satisfy me. As for Dragon Wolf, I can see your point further down in another post about the acting being bad (I'm too lazy to go quote it)and the action does look good. I'm just not sure about it . I think I'll wait for one of Shaolin Dudes reviews

Just got thru watching this and sadly, it's not good.

The warning signs started within the first few minutes with a spelling mistake in the opening text scroll and THE worst acting you'll ever see.

On the plus side, some of it is stylishly shot on what is clearly a tiny budget, and there's precisely 3 fights that are OK but fall into the same old trap of zooming in too close and being cut too fast, and the main guy is likable enough, but the bad far outweighs the good here, with uniformly terrible acting and a poor script being chief amongst them.

Don't bother.
