Member Drunken Monk Posted February 17, 2012 Member Share Posted February 17, 2012 This thread really comes off the back of the "greatest dubbed one liners" thread. It lead me to ask a question about "Ninja: Final Duel." I understand Dolemite butchered the film and made it laughably terrible, but what about the original dub? Is it meant to be tongue-in-cheek or was it always meant to be a comedy of sorts? Take this clip for example... Ek0MvW3eh1U& The blatant racism - "The ghetto in the sky. That's where you're going! - is so absurd that it's hilarious. Why was this film in particular picked to have ridiculous dubbing? Is it meant to be taken seriously? Is there a story behind it? Member AbeRudder Posted February 18, 2012 Member Share Posted February 18, 2012 I love how the white guy dubbing him was trying really hard to sound 'black', same guy dubbed eugene's character on some other taiwan ninja films he was in too.
