Member AlbertV Posted February 6, 2012 Member Share Posted February 6, 2012 Albert Pyun has begun production on the prequel to his 1989 film CYBORG, which starred Jean-Claude Van Damme. According to IMPACT, the film is a blend of "steam, cyberpunk and post-apocalyptic vampire horror". The story will involve the origin of the plague and the cyborg that was created to spread the plague, "Tama Prophet", and a band of Black-Ops mercenaries who volunteer to become cybernetic to become immune to the plague...the Slingers. Confirmed cast members are Terrie Batson as "Tama Prophet", Sasha Mitchell, Michael Pare, and Olivier Gruner.
Member ShaOW!linDude Posted February 7, 2012 Member Share Posted February 7, 2012 Not sure what to think about the cast. I like Olivier Grunier. But Sasha Mitchell and Michael Pare?..........Hope this doesn't turn out to be Cyborg: Rise Of The Stinkers.

Member AlbertV Posted February 7, 2012 Author Member Share Posted February 7, 2012 Promo art Xavier DeClie, a martial artist and former member of the French Foreign Legion, has also been cast and returning from the original CYBORG is Vincent Klyn. Additional cast members are Scott Paulin, Pyun favorite Norbert Weisser, Roxy Gunn, and Cazzy Golomb. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, DeClie may be playing Gibson in the prequel, the role originated by Jean-Claude Van Damme. Speaking of Sasha Mitchell, he looks pissed in his new headshot on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/media/rm722841600/nm0593711 And IMDB has the movie listed under its former title, RED MOON...for now!
