Guest Markgway
The HKFA list all four films as Cantonese, which I presumed to be correct. However, after watching Part 1 (simply Crazy Bumpkins) in Mandarin it sounds to me like lead actor Ya Fong has dubbed his own distict voice. So might these films or at least one or more of them be Mandarin? I couldn't find a clip of the Cantonese track to compare. If you look at the bottom of the poster for the sequel (see link) it clearly states 'a Mandarin picture'. http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/image_detail.mhtml?id=5603&image_id=185173&display_set=eng Any experts on 70s comedy out there clear this up...? EDIT: Ya Fong didn't dub his Mandarin voice for Return of the Crazy Bumpkins. No idea about the Cantonese track.
Guest Markgway
Also it appears as if a whole bunch of footage was dropped from Return of the Crazy Bumpkins if the credits are anything to go by (10 of the billed actors don't turn up at all). I wonder if any of the cut footage was recycled for later instalments?
