It's directed by Timo Vuorensola and opens in Finland on February 14, 2018. The sequel "now sees a select group of heroes on a mission to fight a reptilian army in order to save the remnants of mankind now surviving on the moon." It is the second movie in a planned trilogy. The most recent premiere date listed on IMDB is January 16, 2019 in Finland. Delays have been caused by problems with finances, and a lawsuit by "five ex-employees of the VFX vendor of the first Iron Sky", which the plaintiffs lost. I mean where else are you going to see a V-like Hitler ride a Tyrannosaurus Rex? LOL I also interviewed legendary actor Udo Kier this afternoon about the film. And there is a third film already shot, which is a spin-off of the series, entitled The Ark: An Iron Sky Story that is a Finnish-Chinese co-production.
