Una Vita Da Sogno (Marco Zanc, Tim Man) Not sure this one is a MA film. I believe it's a remake of the Edward Norton film: The Illusionist. The Great Magician (Tony Leung, Lau Ching Wan)
Member EvilDollaR Posted January 16, 2012 Member Share Posted January 16, 2012 Well, "The Great Magician" is based on "Eisenheim the Illusionist", but it's not really a straight remake, it has more comedy stuff and at least a few fights. In one fight Lau Ching Wan uses fried duck legs as a weapon. In another fight Tony Leung uses sword against chain hammer or something like that. I have more info about all these projects, but there's one problem - it's a Russian language information. Thought later I can provide more details on English if you don't mind... Member ShaOW!linDude Posted January 17, 2012 Member Share Posted January 17, 2012 Thanks for posting those, dude. A couple of them I've seen but most I hadn't. I found a rough-cut trailer to Black Cobra. It's a little jumpy and the copy looks off but remember....it's a rough-cut. I've always liked TJ Storm. obJKj704ecA Here's one for Kill 'Em All. hB9D0Raz5KE
Member Drunken Monk Posted January 17, 2012 Member Share Posted January 17, 2012 Sadly, most of those, in my opinion, look pretty dismal. "Pirate Brothers" looks to have the best action but it seems to have stolen a lot from other films. Just look at the last scene of the trailer. "Merantau" anyone? Member CatNap Posted January 22, 2012 Member Share Posted January 22, 2012 Wow, Cynthia Rothrock is making a come back but Michelle Yeoh is out of action lately. If that doesn't make a statement about the demise of Yeoh's career, I don't know what does....
Member ShaOW!linDude Posted January 22, 2012 Member Share Posted January 22, 2012 Michelle Yeoh suffered a back injury of some sort early in her career as a dancer. I believe its occasional re-occurrence is something she's had to contend with throughout her life. Maybe that's why she doing more dramatic roles now so as not to aggravate it. I would highly doubt it since she wouldn't have done Supercop. In fact, I'd have thought having broken her back in Ah Kam, Story of a Stunt Woman would have more impact on her career than a dance injury. I think she's just making poor choices and isn't focusing where she should. If Kara Hui can still do an action scene, Yeoh should too. Lately it seems the dramatic choices (and what few action films she's done) just miss the mark big time. She's capable of better.....
