Boxer's Omen also in Japan (which has 2 Original Trailers, which are missing on US DVD, and Cantonese Audio, which is also missing on US DVD)

Amazons vs Supermen first emerged in Japan, where US and Germany ripped their Versions from :)

The Itallo-Shaw co-production SUPERMEN AGAINST THE ORIENT has been released on DVD in Italy by Bandiera Gialla: good picture quality, widescreen (2.35:1), and with original italian dub, no eng subs though. The DVD includes an original trailer

Painted Faces. A Shaw /Golden Harvest co-production. Has this been released anywhere?

According to the ofdb, there is a Mega Star and a Tai Seng VCD, also a LD. No DVD, yet.

The Stranger and the Gunfighter (Germany, France)

this has an official R1 release

Are you referring to the RedSun release? That's the only "R1" I know of.

I have no idea wether they are Bootlegs or not and I don't own any of the releases. But simply saying that they are Bootlegs because they use VHS as a source for their DVDs is not adequate. Bootlegs are about not having licences for the movies, not about the sources the DVD comes from.

The One Armed Swordsmen is no Shaw Brothers film. It's a rip off made by Wang Yu himself. Perfectly fine for a label to release that film. I am not saying it's not a bootleg label, but the evidence in the other thread is not evidence at all, in my opinion.

Thanks for the contributions everybody! Way more stuff out there than I thought. If only some retailer would stock the damn DVDs from Singapore...

You are technically correct, the best kind of correct.

I think specifically many (or all?) of the Videoasia titles are in that quasi domain of grey market items. Not illegal but a bit shady.
