Member PhillipKo Posted November 20, 2011 Member Share Posted November 20, 2011 The use of simplified Chinese characters, poor English ("Produced and Directed by Johnny", "each other 's"), and the fact that it's called the IMAX Sapphire series leads me to think it's a Mainland China bootleg...and probably not legal, despite the shrinkwrap. Moderator Asmo Posted November 21, 2011 Moderator Share Posted November 21, 2011 The fact that it seems to be posing as a blu-ray while having the 'dvd-9' at the bottom should be a dead giveaway. I've seen stranger looking releases that actually were legal though.
Member Sheng Posted November 21, 2011 Member Share Posted November 21, 2011 Well, Chinese bootlegs usually come in cell. I once bought a Mainland boot of EXILED that was housed in a lavish sleeve with holographic letters and the top and the bottom of it said “BLU RAY” and “Superior-Bit Manufacture”. The back reads: “for use only with Blu Ray players”. My DVD player plays it. My Blu Ray player doesn’t… THE MISSION sure as hell is a boot and a DVD. Question would be if the PQ has been improved and if it comes with English subs. Maybe they ripped the French DVD…
