Wood will play a New York City serial killer named Zito who seeks revenge for his abusive upbringing by stalking, killing and scalping various young women. He begins a relationship with a beautiful photographer named Anne, but his vile compulsions remain. Nora Arnezeder ("Safe House") has already been cast as Anna. Franck Khalfoun ("P2") directs from a script by Alexandre Aja and Gregory Levasseur ("Piranha 3D"). Wood will shoot the role after he wraps his work on "The Hobbit". Member AlbertV Posted December 2, 2011 Author Member Share Posted December 2, 2011 Here are the first shots of Elijah Wood as the disturbed Frank Zito in the MANIAC remake From Twitch, who also had this to say on the remake: The plan is for [director Franck] Khalfoun to shoot the film largely from the killer's POV, so how much Wood will actually appear on screen is yet to be seen but the first behind the scenes shots from the picture have just hit the web and Wood is front and center, certainly not appearing shy about getting his hands dirty.
