Guest Ensign Sharpe
I have the old criterion edition of Hard Boiled and the post-MI:2 re-release DVD of The Killer in all their Dolby Digital 1.0 mono glory. I saw on Ebay some new HK editions of these films that boast 5.1 DD/DTS sound. If anyone has these, can you please comment on the sound [or refer me to a site with good HK DVD reviews (in English please)]? Was the soundtrack completely remastered, or was the sound just kind of bled into the other speakers? If the gunshots and explosions were pumped up with the LFE, I'd be in heaven. Also, are the English subtitles the same/as good as the American releases? Thanks.
Guest ConspiracyTheory123
I have the 5.1 of Hard-Boiled. The sound is pretty good, at least to me. The subtitles though are off at some places, and go bye a little too quickly at times. I still think it's a good buy though.
