Member Killer Meteor Posted October 8, 2011 Member Share Posted October 8, 2011 Not complaining, but the DVD does used a shorter German print. Does anyone have the lowdown on what's missing?
Guest Markgway
It's all dialogue/plot exposition. I saw an uncut tape many years ago.

Member Mark Pollard Posted February 7, 2012 Member Share Posted February 7, 2012 Not complaining, but the DVD does used a shorter German print. Does anyone have the lowdown on what's missing? I noticed a near two-minute comedy/talking scene missing at about the 16 minute mark where John Liu's fighting co-star Yeh Fei-yang and the kid (Huang I-lung) are introduced. It is helpful to see because it explains why the kid is carrying around a sack full of coin when the two are first seen in the Soulblade version. Guest Markgway
I'm guessing that a fully uncut 2.35 version of this has never been released on video anywhere. Shame as it's one of the better indie films of the period. Next best thing would be the Soulblade DVD with the extra scenes inserted back into the film.
