Interesting summary also for the not-so-specialist film buff who doesn’t normally dip into HK film business or theory treatises penned by the likes of, say, Stephen Teo or Vivian P.Y. Lee. Wellington Fung is an industry veteran and a very concise analyst of HK film history, a lot of it he has helped to shape during his Cinema City and Media Asia years.
