Member waywardsage Posted September 12, 2011 Member Share Posted September 12, 2011 So this has completely blown my mind. Hulu plus has a ton of rare samurai films: http://www.hulu.com/criterion/countries?page=1&country[]=Japan After this revelation, I am highly tempted to subscribe to Hulu Plus. But the bug question is: Will Criterion ever release these films on DVD/Blu ray? Or will they be doomed to the low bandwidth of the web! Thoughts? Member Vegeta84 Posted September 15, 2011 Member Share Posted September 15, 2011 I'm still in shock that criterion has Hunter IN The Dark! Everybody e-mail criterion and bug them to release some of these films.
Member panic Posted September 15, 2011 Member Share Posted September 15, 2011 So still no release for Masuda's LIKE A SHOOTING STAR - which HomeVision put out on VHS back in 2000 as VELVET HUSTLER. I am excited about PRINCESS FROM THE MOON and THE PERFECT GAME though!
