Member andy338 Posted August 20, 2011 Member Share Posted August 20, 2011 I have the UK Premier Asia version and although i've not seen it for a little while I think there were a couple of moves that Tony did that I didn't recognise, haven't done a direct comparison though so could be wrong. Member ShaOW!linDude Posted August 20, 2011 Member Share Posted August 20, 2011 I don't know that there were any extra moves but it looked to me like there were extra/different angles inserted. Does that make sense?
Member andy338 Posted August 20, 2011 Member Share Posted August 20, 2011 I don't know that there were any extra moves but it looked to me like there were extra/different angles inserted. Does that make sense? Yeah, you could be right it did look a little different but as you point out could be camera angles rather than the actual fighting. On the extras of the Premier Asia disk they show several scenes that were filmed from different angles and show them side by side so you get a direct comparison. Interestingly I thought some of the angles not used looked better than some in the film, for example in the warehouse bmx/skater scene when Tony performs a back handspring from one platform to another an alternate angle shows it filmed from above so you can see the size of the gap and the large drop that he had to clear and you can really appreciate how dangerous that stunt was, this isn't quite so evident from the angle shown in the film. Member ShaOW!linDude Posted August 20, 2011 Member Share Posted August 20, 2011 I know exactly the bit you're talking about. I already appreciated the danger of the stunt. To see it from the view you describe would've sent chills down my spine. I wish all the dvds carried that extra feature you speak of. I'd love to see that. Member shaolin drunkard Posted August 21, 2011 Author Member Share Posted August 21, 2011 I am 100% sure that view from outside at burning temple is not featured in thai release. Scene ends up when wrestler hears police alert...
