Member AlbertV Posted July 26, 2011 Member Share Posted July 26, 2011 Tf_FJr-OISM This is just a "trailer" of sorts for an indie MA flick called MMA STREETFIGHTER. The film stars martial artist/actor Burton Richardson. For those who wonder, Richardson used to write for Inside Kung Fu Magazine and played the goatee-wearing fighter Thomas in KICKBOXER 4, plus served as the fight choreographer with Mark Dacascos in KICKBOXER 5: REDEMPTION. Richardson stars in this film with Filipino action star Ronnie Ricketts. The budget was at $100,000 with production in both Hawaii and the Philippines. It had a theatrical release in the Philippines in 2007 and there is a DVD floating about in the US. Frank Hopkins is a wealthy American MMA champion living in Honolulu. But Frank is unhappy. Despite the exotic cars, extravagant house, and beautiful women, he can always find something to complain about. His business partner Axel sends Frank to Manila, Philippines to promote their line of MMA products. Frank's pessimistic attitude irritates his bodyguard, Boy, and Boy's sister-in-law, Girly. But Frank's life is about to change when he is double-crossed, left penniless, and pursued by the police. Boy saves Frank by taking him to his home in the squatter area. But Axel sends a team of American martial arts experts to capture Frank in Manila. This formidable team is led by their guide Shaquille. Can a rich American survive in a Manila slum? Can he discover the secret to happiness there? Can he find love? "Watch ONE PERCENT FULL---a wonderfully entertaining film for the whole family." http://onepercentfull.wordpress.com/ Like DRIFTER TKD, you can only special order the DVD it looks like. Member ShaOW!linDude Posted July 27, 2011 Member Share Posted July 27, 2011 That actually looks pretty good. And it was done in '07? Wonder what took so long to get the word out.
