I am looking for some recommendations for some classic cinema pieces that were groundbreaking in terms of cinematography, look, design, music, etc...

I was blown away by the cinematography of The Master of Flying Guillotine, it also had one of the best opening scenes for any film.

Everything about the film was epic.. Not to forget the incredible costumes.

Made me think that maybe these guys should have done an Iron Fist or Shang Chi (Marvel comic) movie..

Especially cause one of the green costumes worn by the Thai fighter reminded me a lot of Iron Fist.

Killer Meteor

Definetly A TOUCH OF ZEN, and many of the late 60s/early 70s Shaws.

FIST OF FURY in general looks very nice. A lot of commentators suggest WAY OF THE DRAGON had a specially hired cinematographer, but the finished product is so grainly and anemic, it looks like 16mm.

Thanks, had no idea there was another One Armed Swordsman.

There's also Return of the One armed Swordsman.

The cinematography for Way of the Dragon is pretty shit to be honest. I heard that Bruce Lee specifically asked for a Japanese DP because they were technically adavanced - he needn't have bothered.
