I don't see them anywhere on amazon or anywhere else, so chances are they are a little after the Sept. release dates of the others.

I did email Arc Entertainment to hopefully get more details about these releases.

Any mention of Blu Ray for these releases? I have most of these on IVL versions so wont double dip unless its HD.

Im sure there are many others in the same boat, DD did release 5 Venoms in HD so there is hope.

Killer Clans is tempting... but only when it's cheap. The IVL only had a 5.1 remix.

I already have a very good DVD of Blood Brothers so unless we're talking BD upgrade...

Arc ENT to the rescue!! Just when I was starting to think Western Shaw releases where about to dry up.. They go an hit us up with 10 bombshells!!

I never got around to buying the IVL's, so all I have are boots of these movies, so these will be a day one purchase for me!! :xd:

The only thing that coulda made this better is if Boxer from Shantung was included... But beggars cant be choosers... I'm still happy non the less :yociexp75:

What a lineup!! Most of these are in my top 10 Shaw list. It's great to see that these are getting a legit R1 release.

Ha... and I was worried that we weren't going to see many Shaws released this year. With releases like Avenging Eagle and the classic Shaws showing on Fuel TV, we may see a rebirth in our dying genre. It sure would be nice to see some more newbs around here.

Edit: Oops, BDD beat to me the point I was making.

Wow, really didn't see that coming.

The Shaw library seems to be their main focus nowadays. Probably because the films are already remastered/restored, they have access to the transfers as well as the original Cantonese/Mandarin tracks plus the English dubs. So in other words, Dragon Dynasty just puts them into a package and puts 'em on the shelves. Plus they've had the rights to these films, via Miramax, for what, over a decade?

Eh, as long as we get original mono and proper 24p NTSC transfers, I'm pretty good... would like some extras, but eh, it's something I suppose.

As for the Flying Guillotine films, my guess is they might sneak out in October... after all, looks like we're getting four in August, four in September... perhaps we'll get the FG films in October and two more.

Going by Dragon Dynasty's track record for SB releases, there's a 99.9% chance that they all will have English dubs.

Damn, what is this? I gotta start buying HK films again???

Never saw Golden Swallow, I always wanted go. And I've already got Execs From Shaolin (seen) and Five Shaolin Master (not seen) on my list from the previous batch.

Caught Flying Guillotine 2 on TV some years ago. I use that film as an example when explaining how action movies used to be so much better back in the days... Pick up a concept, and do something memorable with it... rather than pick up 25 concepts, use all of them, and come up with Die Hard 4 that you'll forget before the ending credits have rolled

Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Swallow, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, her chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!!!!!

Golden Swallow sounds like a porno movie with Goldie Hawn, lololol.... Good movie by the way and is it me or is Pei wei sexy as fuck??? Wang Yu is awesome as usual in these early Shaw movies...

Well hopefully Avenging Eagle will be un-cut complete with the missing fight footage during the final fight.

Just when I thought DD was done....they are doing this and I'm fine with it. Sure the covers totally suck but at the same time I hope with bare bones releases they will be around $10 a pop.
