Member Fanboy1991 Posted June 19, 2011 Member Share Posted June 19, 2011 What are the best non Wuxia martial art films from Shaw Brothers. I've seen all of Lau's films and most of Chang Cheh's but besides there films are there any others. I've also seen King Boxer and The Chinese Boxer. Member peringaten Posted June 19, 2011 Member Share Posted June 19, 2011 Some weapons, but I'd call them all kung fu films rather than wuxia A-list: My Rebellious Son The Condemned The Master Gang Master Kung Fu Instructor Kid With A Tattoo Five Superfighters Monkey Kung Fu Young Vagabond (one of my favourites, other are less keen, so what) B-list, but top notch kung: Kid From Kwangtung Lion Vs Lion Fighting Fool Fast Fingers Boxer From The Temple Tigress Of Shaolin Coward Bastard
Member Phoenix Posted June 20, 2011 Member Share Posted June 20, 2011 Thanks, I've seen about 75% of those but will check out the rest. I only flicked through Tigress of Shaolin and it didn't look that good, I must have misjudged it? If it's the Kara Hui one?

No you did not misjudge it.it`s garbage and not even good way.there is some ok stuff at the end but I would not recommend for even enemy to watch it let alone purchase. Member peringaten Posted June 20, 2011 Member Share Posted June 20, 2011 No it's not garbage. If you can't deal with Canto humour you won't like it. If you want intelligent plotting and sincere dramatic devices you won't like it. If you want intelligent kung fu you will; even if they horse around and act the fool with it, good representations of empty handed southern stuff, training, 8 diagram pole, butterfly knives, etc. Horses for courses. Garbage does it a misjustice; it's just ott silly.
