the heroine was played by the girl who's in this trailer -

I don't know her name. She is the heroine for the movie I'm looking for, too. Lo Lieh's in it but he plays s minor role.

Details: Lo Lieh's beautiful wife was being transported and escorted on a horse cart from another town. Our hero--much younger and more handsome than the rich and powerful Lo Lieh--was one of the guards on the way. Lots of other people were guarding the cart. The wife was on it.

But the road was long, so they had to rest in a cave each night. One night, a bear came and attacked them. Everyone else was knocked down, except for the wife and the hero. The hero somehow drove the bear off with a torch.

When they got to town, Lo Lieh questioned the delay. Someone explained the situation, and so Lo Lieh became even more skeptical that the hero must have hit on the beautiful wife.

Meanwhile, the wife felt so apologetic and kept seeking out the hero to apologize. Lo Lieh keeps seeing them talking in private, and his skepticism increased even more. So, he got the village chief to discipline the hero--like Hmong traditions where the entire family's name is on it...

The heroine was pretty angry, too and kept refusing to the hero's explanation.

Well, one day one of the older guards who somehow survived the bear attack finally told Lo Lieh that the hero had not done anything to the wife. He hero even helped the wife...Lo Lei believed the elderly survivor but it was only after the hero had been whipped to the point where his left arm had to be on a cast.

Now, two drunkards came to town and took the beautiful wife away. Lo Lieh fought but lost to them. The drunkards then fell to another bigger villain who had a metal pumpkin on a chain as his weapon. He took her into the woods and cave for a day or two before Lo Lieh and others finally caught up.

Our hero had to fight the villain with the cast on.

Not sure what year that was but at least some times back in the early 80s.
