Guest venoms5
Anyone else seen this? Without a doubt one of the most depressing and violent japanese movies ever to come out of the 70s. Set during the Samurai era, this black and white film(with only the opening scene in color-depicting the sun going down) takes place entirely at night, is one of the bleakest revenge movies ever dealing with mans dark side. Quite a lot of gore too particularly since LONE WOLF hadn't come out yet. Highly recommended.
Guest jirpy100
You have me intrigued! I read similar review on IMDB. Now, how do I get a copy? Apparently the Japanese DVD is subtitled, but obviously very expensive. Can anyone provide a link to a English Japanese store?
Guest venoms5
My friend John at Far East Flix has it for 15 dollars. I'm not sure if it's on the site as a lot of his movies aren't up. If you don't see it there just order it. A couple of other non horror Japanese films I got but haven't watched yet are GOYOKIN and THE LAST SAMURAI(1974), Kenji Misumis last film.
