Memoirs of a Lady Ninja (Onmitsu Kunoichi Retsuden Himerareta Onna Shinobi) is a Japanese original video release written and directed by Jiro Ishikawa. Member daisho2004 Posted February 22, 2011 Member Share Posted February 22, 2011 Definitely worth a watch. synopsis: Media Blasters sub-label Tokyo Shock will be releasing Jiro Ishikawa’s Memoirs of a Lady Ninja (Onmitsu Kunoichi Retsuden Himerareta Onna Shinobi, 2009) on region 1 DVD with English subtitles on May 17th. Originally released by GP Museum as a low-budget original video, the film stars AV idol Saori Hara as a blue-eyed female ninja and assassin named Hijiri. By chance, she encounters a thief trying to steal a secret scroll of immortality from the storage depository of a Christian daimyo named Rokusha, but gets injured in the ensuing battle. She’s rescued by a Christian named Seitaro (Mutsuo Yoshioka) and they soon begin to fall in love with one another. However, their happiness is short-lived. Declaring Christianity “western heresy”, a powerful buddhist takes aim at Hijiri and the Christians and cooks up a dark plot to deal with them. A proper kunoichi character would be great to see on film. A woman who is a master of subterfuge and fighting masked by her feminine wiles..........very dangerous. Well, we do have AV star Kotono (Almost SFW) on board, although that probably doesn't mean anything. Japanese AV stars do a lot of acting in genre films these days. I doubt Seiji Chiba would be interested in anything more than a random eye candy shot here and there. And Rina wouldn't be acting in anything that goes further than that. The best part of the movie was the lead female she was smoking hot! This seemed like a Japanese Soft Porn movie more than an action movie they spent more time on the sex scenes then the action scenes. And that was some of the best parts! The movie looked like it was filmed with a camcorder. And the Chick in them movie kept telling everyone I'm a female Ninja, now we all know Ninjas have to keep the identity secret!
