Member Gaijin84 Posted February 14, 2011 Member Share Posted February 14, 2011 It's not perfect, but this translator seems to confirm your English names: http://nihongo.j-talk.com/kanji/ Kanji --> Romaji
Member chanbara Posted February 14, 2011 Member Share Posted February 14, 2011 I can confirm that Hiroshi HATANO is definitely correct. I believe the others are correct too, with the possible exception of 河合綾子 which could be Ayako KAWAI.
Guest Markgway
Thanks, guys. I did come up with both Ryoko and Ayoko as suitable translations but couldn't find any actor with the latter name. There is a Ryoko, however, at the IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0442775/ Japanese cinema isn't my forte so I thought maybe someone here would know these guys. Something like Kyoko can be written in 500 different ways, and the kanji spelling can also have different romajisations. Even Japanese film databases sometimes have completely wrong kana translations for names. 3) Hell if my kanji reading is enough to tell you more that a few beginnings and endings and middle parts of those names...
