I'm not certain if Bruce was aware... Dan may have done so, so the students here had proof of his contact with the Sifu, and he could pass info directly. How & why this conversation came to be recorded, whether Bruce was aware he was being recorded (I'd assume not); perhaps a happy accident with an old version of an answering machine? Anyway, it is nice to be privy to an uncensored, private conversation, gives us a more personal glimpse at Bruce's character & personality than we get from the few surviving interviews with the press. I met Dan Lee briefly in 2001, asked if he was still teaching tai chi chuan, wish I'd remembered to ask about this. Is he still alive, by the way?
