[seth Rogen & Jay Chou in 'The Green Hornet'] Seth Rogen & Jay Chou in 'The Green Hornet' Columbia Pictures The superhero/sidekick dynamic is usually defined by very rigid standards. The hero is brave, tough, and resourceful. The sidekick is funny and plucky but generally irrelevant.

But that's never been the case with "The Green Hornet." The man behind the Hornet's mask is Britt Reid, a rich newspaper magnate with a passion for fighting crime. But he doesn't have superpowers. In fact, he barely has regular powers. The guy with the real skills is his sidekick, Kato. Kato is a master of martial arts. He's an inventor. He even gets to drive around in their high-tech armored car.

With that in mind, it makes sense that funnyman Seth Rogen would get cast as the Green Hornet. Rogen, who also co-wrote the script, doesn't really come off as the superhero type -- even after losing a significant amount of weight for the part. But since his character is supposed to be learning how to be a hero, it makes sense. Of course, the Hornet depends on Kato to make him look good, and doing the same for Rogen is Jay Chou.

Chou is a giant star in Asia, but this is his first exposure in an English-language film. Take a look at him in action in the exclusive new trailer, and keep reading to learn more about how he landed the role that originally made Bruce Lee a star.
