I was all excited to now put "shipped" !

But then I saw Shawoholic's preceding post :squigglemouth:

 no matter - still great sunday shaws viewing!

SPOILER

It`s ok to watch, but there is not tension building, ckt is too strong.Wipes out enemies damn easy. There is not really boring moment but I was waiting something great to happen but it never did.

Now I see many have waited this movie to be released and those who have not seen it before might have gotten high expectations.

So it DOES exist! Wonder if the blu-ray will ever show up in stores, or if I'll have to wait until Horrorfind this September, when Media Blasters has a merchandise table again. That's the only way I could find the Heroes Two blu-ray!

Weird that Amazon only has it listed thru a few 3rd party sellers. Has anyone found this anywhere else?

if there will be a Bluray it will be an SD Upscale, as Celestial did not remaster this in HD...

Really? Huh, maybe that explains the lack of a blu-ray. Eh, oh well. DVD only then. Meanwhile, it'd be nice if they went back to release blu-rays of films from their first wave, but I'm not sure which of them were HD mastered. I know The Master wasn't, which was part of the reason it was a 4x3 release.

Is there a list somewhere of the HD mastered films?

Is there any problems with playing it? Any skips, bad pauses etc...; This has been a problem with some of the early releases from MB (which of course caused several delays).

yes there is. just register at the celestial Homepage and download the whole Catalog. every HD Movie has a HD Symbol in it.

Well, that seems easy enough  Seriously, at this rate, it'll be 2020 before we see their release of Chinatown Kid  Then again, maybe by then, a new print of the proper director's cut (aka, "international cut") can be restored/remastered.

Hmm I see what you mean Shawoholic ...not very memorable...bit hard going actually..still like Chen kuan tai though..

The English mono was a weird one too - very tinny and at first didn't think it sounded "classic dub" at all but then sort of settled into it being one after all a little way through..

Yes its anamorphic killer meteor

and yes it still has that weird pause thing on the tokyo shock logo at the beginning that you have to forward through if thats what you are referring to masterofoneinchpunch.

no slip case either...

Here's something relating to The Iron Bodyguard that I found last week in The Chinese Knight Errant by James J.Y. Liu. It's a reference to stories in "Lives of Chivalrous and Altruistic Heroes" (in Chinese, Hsia-yi Ying-hsiung Chuan) by Hsiang K'ai-jan: "Though most of the episodes in the book are concerned with methods of fighting and physical culture rather than chivalry, some characters do display the chivalrous spirit. For instance, Big Sword Wang the Fifth (Ta-tao Wang Wu), a professional armed escort, accompanied an outspoken Imperial Censor who had offended the Empress Dowager on his way to exile, and looked after his family, though the two were not even acquainted. Wang also tried to help T'an Ssu-t'ung, one of the leaders of the Reform Movement of 1898 executed by the Empress Dowager. Later, Wang was mistaken for a Boxer by the Allied forced occupying Peking and shot."

In The Iron Bodyguard, Wang Wu was played by Chen Kuan Tai, while Yueh Hua played T'an Ssu-t'ung.

Hsiang K'ai-jan also wrote The Burning of the Red Lotus Monastery.
