Could it be Lo Lieh in King Boxer?

I'd have to say Lo Lieh as well though it was short-lived and Bruce came along and blew him out of the water!

BTW Nice little site!

I might be mistaken but I have been always under impression while King Boxer was hit and enjoys some kind of cult status, movie is famous not it`s star.

Wasn't King Boxer released in the US in 1972?

Bruce Lee was already a star since 1966, with Green Hornet.

Was Bruce a star in 66 THE GREEN HORNET was cancelled after the first series.

I would say Bruce too, even though I disagree that he was a star from his work in the 60's. After ETD, people knew his name. Im no Bruce fan, and would choose King Boxer over any BL flick any day, but I bet no one knew Lo Lieh's name after KB opened in the US!

It obviously depends on what level of fame we're talking about; anywhere from "whats-his-face" to "household name." I agree with TibetanWhiteCrane's gauge: "people knew his name." That would make it a very small list, and I doubt Lo Lieh is on it. Bruce, Jackie, Jet, Gordon, The Venoms as a group, Alexander, mayyybe Jimmy and Angela.

Its only kung fu fans who knows Lo Lieh......the average Joe on the street in US or elsewhere would say Bruce Lee....hell they even showed his films on Iceland

It has to be Lo Lei, although it was the MOVIE itself King Boxer.

Then Bruce Lee.

Then Jackie Chan.

Don't know if i'm right, but i think that Ho Chung Tao broke out before Jackie.
