Guest dndcollect
Does this exist yet? It looks like there is a R2 version that is remastered. What is the best version of these films? And also what is the best version of The Killer available?
Guest The Running Man
For The Killer I'd say the HKL DVD. While it might not have the best picture, it has a strong selection of extras, and it has the best subtitle translation out there. For the Better Tomorrow films it gets tricky. Video-wise, the Fortune Star discs. Subtitle translation would be the UK discs (Optimum and HKL respectively). However, the UK disc for ABT1 has the old Media Asia Canto track that replaced a lot of the score with stuff lifted from some Hollywood movies. The HKL disc for part 2 doesn't have a problem with that and the worst thing I can say about the disc is that the video isn't as good as FS print. Guest drunkenmantis13
I'd say the R2 HK Video for The Killer is probably the best there is. So the R2 Optimum for ABT1 isn't the obvious superior release?
Guest Yakuza954
HKL released A Better Tomorrow Part 2?
Guest The Running Man
I'd say the R2 HK Video for The Killer is probably the best there is. It's only good if you want the longer cut and the nice interviews with John Woo and Tsui Hark. So the R2 Optimum for ABT1 isn't the obvious superior release? Nope. None are. HKL released A Better Tomorrow Part 2? Yup.
