This is a new MMA action film that has not yet been released, but looks pretty interesting.

Synopsis:

"Mixed martial arts world champion and decorated war hero Troy Jennings is approached by his former girlfriend Jenny to help her escape from the clutches of billionaire Lucien Gallows. Gallows literally “owns” Jenny due to her huge

gambling debts that she has amassed at his casinos. Gallows was once a formidable fighter himself and is ruthless – he shows no mercy by keeping Jenny hostage to her debts.

Troy offers to satisfy Jenny’s obligations but Lucien has something else in mind. Unbeknownst to Troy, Lucien has encouraged Jenny’s habit in order to lure Troy into his trap. His purpose is to satisfy his final lurid fantasy of dueling with the world champion. Troy is seduced into captivity when he agrees to fight in a series of death matches in Lucien’s underground personal arena to save Jenny.

The life or death clock starts ticking when Troy accepts Lucien’s terms. It is then that Troy must use all of his combat knowledge, physical skills, mental acumen and inner strength to keep himself and Jenny alive until they can find a way out of Lucien’s deadly grasp and survive his well orchestrated deviant plan. Troy is assisted by the beautiful Kaya – a mysterious and tragic pawn to Lucien’s whims and wishes. In a stunning climax filled with twists and turns, Kaya joins Troy and Jenny in their escape. Cunningly they must navigate Lucien’s “maze of death” and even with Troy’s formidable battle experience, the odds are against him and his beautiful companions. Lucien has never been beaten – in or out of the ring. It will indeed command all of Troy Jennings’ considerable combat savvy for him to emerge at last as the Ultimate Champion."

Stars Stephan Bonnar, Daniel Bernhardt, Leila Arcieri, Marieh Delfino, Oleg Taktarov, Sean Sherk, Jason Lambert, Gene LeBell, Travis Lutter, Sokoudjou, and Gilbert Melendez.

Stunt/Fight Choreographer Neil "Xingu" Rodil.

I was just thinking , "what ever happened to Daniel Bernhardt?" He deserves another chance at BLOODSPORT instead of this really low budget stuff. Even BLOODSPORT 4:THE DARK KUMITE looked better.

I love Daniel Bernhardt. Has he now descended to villain roles? Tsk, tsk, shame. I think he's a superior screen fighter to Van Damme. DB"s stuff has always looked better to me. Better actor, too. Well, I reckon I'll be looking for this whenever it comes out. Is it "Supreme Champion" or "Ultimate Champion"? I thought at the end of the trailer it said the 2nd one.

The title is Supreme Champion. The last movie I saw Daniel in was the 2003 film THE CUTTER, where he was the main villain and took on the legendary Chuck Norris. I agree Bernhardt was truly a phenomenal martial artist. Must be the Swiss model thing because Daniel and Mickey Hardt (Codename Puma, Max Havoc) are both from Switzerland, both are models, and both are great martial artists.

Yeah, I've got the dvd of "The Cutter". DB plays a good villain. I still think he's leading man material though.

Looks okay but I think I'll wait until I come across this used somewhere.

The movie hits DVD today

.....with all the anticipation of a trip to the dentist.

This looks only a few steps above the infamous 'Thunderkick' movies you posted about with Gary Wasniewski...Albert what exactily is your definition of "pretty interesting"!?:squigglemouth:

Well, in all honest, the pretty interesting part came in seeing Daniel Bernhardt on the screen again. Haven't had seen him since THE CUTTER, so it was like a welcome back to the B-movie genre. Knowing me, I'm going to end up renting this and then reviewing it in the near future.
